Training Workshops

The League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson (LWVGT) offers training workshops.

If you or your organization would like to participate in any of the following training workshops, contact us at 520-327-7652 or at the email addresses listed below.

Voter Registration Training

In addition to partnering with community organizations to register voters, LWVGT can provide training to nonpartisan community organizations so that they can assist voter registration and confidently advise eligible voters that they reach through their activities.

The League’s training reflects protocols that were developed in consultation with the Pima County Recorder’s Office. The training can be conducted in-person or virtually.

There is no cost for this service, but donations to the LWVGT are appreciated.

For more information, contact us at
voterregistration@lwvtucson.com or 520-327-7652.

Forums Training

In addition to partnering with community organizations to sponsor public forums where voters can hear from candidates and learn about issues prior to elections, LWVGT periodically offers training for those who want to conduct their own forums.

Registration is required and a minimal fee is charged to cover expenses.

For more information, contact us at

league@lwvtucson.com or 520-327-7652.

Request to Speak Training

Request to Speak is a real-time system that allows citizens to register an opinion on bills as they are being taken up by the Arizona State Legislature. After creating an RTS account, users can log in to indicate whether they are “for” or “against” a bill, write a brief comment, or register to speak (testify). Legislators will see citizens’ positions.

For more information about using Request to Speak, click here: Learn how to use the Request to Speak program.

LWVGT can assist individuals to set up and use Request to Speak.

The League also provides training to community organizations on how to use the Request to Speak system for their own advocacy efforts.
