There is a lot happening locally and nationally on the protest front, and I know there are some who may be eager to participate. I am sharing guidance below from the State Advocacy Committee regarding the role of the League, please read through.

Guidance from the State Advocacy Chair – No Kings Event (Saturday, June 14th)

Please note that LWV is not sponsoring or partnering for this event. If members are interested in attending, they may do so as individuals, but not as representatives of the League.

Because LWV is not an official partner, we ask that members do not wear League-branded clothing (such as t-shirts or hats) or display signage that suggests formal League participation.

If your local League is considering hosting a table, please be sure to assess insurance coverage and liability for volunteers participating as League members. This is especially important when engaging in events not formally endorsed or organized by LWV.

Thank you for helping ensure clarity and consistency in how we represent the League in public-facing events. Please share this with your local organizers. 

It has been suggested that any LWVGTers who want to participate together wear matching garb (t-shirts of the same color, hats etc.) to signify your support as a group, however, please respect the no LWV branded items rule.
