Participate 2025
One of the strengths of LWVGT is that it has a place for many different talents, skills and abilities. Everyone has something they can contribute to help us in our our mission to strengthen democracy.
As we begin a new program year, it's a great time to consider how you would like to participate and what
talents and skills you can share.

What would intrest you?

To explore areas of interest and to contact those groups:
  1. On the home page, from the Members drop-down menu, click "Members Interests."
  2. Browse the various interest groups, and use the contact information to reach out to the coordinator.
To share your skills and talents, update your profile on the LWVGT website. This allows committees to find members with specific skills or talents.
  1. Log on to lwvtucson.org with your password.
  2. Next to your login name, select the down-arrow.
  3. From the drop-down menu, click "Profile."
  4. On the Membership Profile page, click "Additional Member Data."
  5. Scroll to the skills and talents section, and check appropriate categories.
  6. At the bottom of the page, click "Save".
Don't forget to peruse our Member Toolbox, which is available from the Members menu. It has a wealth of information and resources!

Domestic Violence Awareness
HOW CAN A CAMERA ATTACHMENT
HELP PROSECUTE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENDERS
AND POSSIBLY SAVE LIVES?

One of the most deadly forms of domestic abuse is strangulation. It's also one of the hardest to see. But special camera equipment, using infrared and UV technology, can detect and document strangulation and other bruising with excellent clarity.

The LWVGT Gun Violence Prevention Team is gathering donations to purchase this equipment for the Tucson Police Department. This will help TPD document critical evidence in DV (Domestic Violence) and other criminal cases.

You can help. We are less than $1,000 from meeting our goal--please consider donating today! Donations can be made online, or checks can be made out to Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse. Your donation is tax deductible. Deadline for donation is April 30.
